For researchers investigating mitotic regulation and oncogenesis, this rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the PTTG family (PTTG1, PTTG2, and PTTG3), the securin proteins that govern sister chromatid separation during anaphase. Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows on human samples, the unconjugated antibody is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal sera raised in rabbit. PTTG1, best known as securin, sequesters separase until the metaphase-to-anaphase transition and is widely studied as a marker of proliferative and tumor cell biology, including pituitary, breast, and hepatocellular carcinoma research. The reagent is suited to detecting endogenous PTTG family members in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections, supporting studies of chromosomal stability, aneuploidy, and mitotic checkpoint function.
