Anti-PTTG Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets PTTG (Pituitary Tumor-Transforming Gene 1), a securin-family protein best known for restraining separase activity until anaphase, when ubiquitin-dependent degradation permits sister chromatid separation. The reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated preparation in a 100 µl volume, validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows.

PTTG is widely studied in cancer biology because its overexpression has been documented in pituitary adenomas as well as breast, thyroid, colorectal, and hepatocellular tumors, where elevated levels correlate with proliferative and invasive phenotypes. The reagent's reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples allows validation across cell-line models, rodent xenograft studies, and human tissue specimens on the same antibody lot, supporting translational comparisons between rodent systems and patient material.
