Anti-PTS Antibody

The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent specifically recognizes 6-pyruvoyltetrahydropterin synthase (PTS), the terminal enzyme of the tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) biosynthetic pathway. BH4 serves as an essential cofactor for phenylalanine hydroxylase, tyrosine hydroxylase, tryptophan hydroxylase, and nitric oxide synthase, so PTS expression is widely studied in research on neurotransmitter biosynthesis and inborn metabolic disorders such as hyperphenylalaninemia and DOPA-responsive dystonia.

Raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated, this antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples. Each vial contains 100 µl, providing enough reagent for multiple blotting or staining experiments.
