PTPRU (Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Type U), also designated PTPλ, is a receptor-type tyrosine phosphatase that mediates homophilic cell-cell adhesion at adherens junctions and acts as a positive regulator of the Wnt/planar cell polarity (PCP) pathway, where it interfaces with components such as VANGL1 and VANGL2 during vertebrate neural tube closure and convergent extension movements.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against PTPRU and validated for Western blot detection in mouse and rat samples, making it useful for studies of developmental patterning, epithelial morphogenesis, and tyrosine phosphatase signaling. The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes across the receptor, supporting reproducible band detection in tissue lysates from regions such as the developing neuroepithelium and kidney.

Provided as a 100 µl vial in an unconjugated format, the antibody is compatible with standard secondary reagents and chemiluminescent or fluorescent Western blot workflows. The unconjugated IgG isotype gives researchers flexibility to pair it with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries appropriate for their preferred membrane and imaging setup.
