Anti-PTPRN Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type N (PTPRN), also referred to as ICA 512. It is supplied as a liquid preparation in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide, and has been purified by affinity chromatography. The antibody was raised against a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 600–889 of human PTPRN (NP_001186693.1) and recognises an epitope associated with a predicted molecular weight of 66 kDa.

The reagent is unconjugated and of the IgG isotype. It has been validated for Western blotting and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse and rat samples. Recommended working dilutions are 1:500–1:2,000 for WB and 1:50–1:100 for IHC. The product is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C upon arrival, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.

PTPRN expression is group-enriched in brain and pituitary gland, with the protein localised to the endoplasmic reticulum and predicted to occupy intracellular and membrane compartments.
