Anti-PTPN4 Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets PTPN4 (also referred to as MEG1). It is validated for Western blot applications and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples. The antibody is unconjugated with IgG isotype and is supplied in liquid form.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1–240 of human PTPN4 (NP_002821.1). The target has a molecular weight of 115 kDa. Recommended Western blot dilutions range from 1:200 to 1:2,000. The antibody is affinity purified and formulated in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) with 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide. It is shipped at 4°C; upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.

In a representative Western blot, the antibody was used at a 1:1,000 dilution with a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) secondary antibody at 1:10,000, with lysates loaded at 25µg per lane, blocking in 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST, and detection using an ECL Basic Kit at a 15 second exposure. The PTPN4 protein shows tissue-enhanced expression in brain and localises to the nucleoplasm, plasma membrane, and cytosol.
