The polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets PTPN21 (Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Non-Receptor Type 21), a cytoskeletal-associated enzyme implicated in cell adhesion, integrin signaling, and receptor tyrosine phosphatase regulation. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated reagent at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 15 mM sodium azide, this 100 µl aliquot is validated for Western blot detection of the human, mouse, and rat target.

PTPN21 functions as a non-receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase that modulates cytoskeletal dynamics through interactions with proteins such as liprin-α and Rho family GTPases. Investigators studying epithelial morphogenesis, synaptic signaling, or hematopoietic differentiation have used antibodies against PTPN21 to track expression patterns and phosphorylation-dependent regulation. The reagent is intended for research use only and has not been validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.

Store refrigerated in the original vial to preserve antibody activity, and protect from light; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting upon first use. Sodium azide is included as a preservative, so the product is not compatible with workflows requiring live-cell exposure or in vivo administration. Each tube is supplied as a liquid format suitable for direct dilution into standard Western blot buffers, including TBST-based blocking and washing steps. Investigators commonly load 10-30 µg of total protein per lane to visualize endogenous PTPN21 levels.
