PTPN2 (Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Non-Receptor Type 2, also called TC-PTP) is a ubiquitously expressed non-receptor tyrosine phosphatase that modulates JAK-STAT signaling, cytokine responses, and T-cell activity. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com provides a research-grade reagent for detecting endogenous PTPN2 in human, mouse, and rat samples.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The glycerol-based formulation protects the protein from freeze-thaw damage and supports long-term storage at -20 °C. Validated applications include Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF), covering the standard needs of signaling, immunology, and tumor biology labs working on pathways downstream of interferon, IL-2, and other cytokines where PTPN2 acts as a negative regulator.

Because the reagent is unconjugated, it can be paired with a user-selected secondary antibody, fluorophore, or HRP conjugate to suit a given detection platform. PTPN2 has attracted significant interest as a tumor suppressor and as a susceptibility gene in autoimmunity (including type 1 diabetes and inflammatory bowel disease), making reliable detection reagents valuable for both basic research and translational studies.
