Encoded by the PTPN11 gene and commonly referred to as SHP-2, this non-receptor tyrosine phosphatase is a central regulator of RAS/MAPK signal transduction. Mutations in PTPN11 are causally linked to Noonan syndrome, LEOPARD syndrome, and hematologic malignancies including juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia, making specific immunological detection valuable for developmental biology and cancer research programs.
The Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal anti-PTPN11 reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum in a single-use vial format, validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. Reactivity has been confirmed against Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, supporting studies in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections across standard mammalian model systems.
For short-term use, store refrigerated at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C, and protect from repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. The unconjugated format allows flexible downstream conjugation to fluorophores, biotin, or enzymes depending on experimental requirements.
