PTP1B, the protein tyrosine phosphatase encoded by the PTPN1 gene, is a well-characterized negative regulator of insulin and leptin receptor signaling. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against PTPN1 and validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows across Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. The reagent is supplied as a 100 µl volume at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, giving a glycerol-stabilized format that tolerates routine freezer storage and repeated freeze-thaw handling. PTP1B biology is widely studied in metabolic disease research, including type 2 diabetes and obesity, and is also a focus in HER2-positive breast cancer and ER stress signaling, where profiling endogenous phosphatase levels in multiple model systems benefits from a broadly reactive polyclonal reagent.
