Anti-PTP1B Antibody

Sourced from Antibodies.com and distributed through AFMS, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B, also known as PTPN1) and is intended for research use only. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µL liquid formulation at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography. It was generated using a synthesized peptide derived from the human PTP1B sequence around the non-phosphorylation site at Ser50, allowing the polyclonal reagent to detect endogenous levels of the target in validated applications including Western Blot (WB), ELISA, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Reactivity has been confirmed in human, mouse, rat, and monkey samples, and the unconjugated format leaves the antibody free for downstream labelling or detection workflows chosen by the end user. For handling, the product is shipped at 4 °C; on arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve performance.
