PTP1B (Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase 1B) is a non-receptor phosphatase encoded by the PTPN1 gene and anchored to the cytoplasmic face of the endoplasmic reticulum via its C-terminal proline-rich segment. It serves as a major negative regulator of insulin and leptin receptor signaling and has been investigated in metabolic disease, breast cancer, and endoplasmic reticulum stress pathways.
This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes an epitope conserved in human, mouse, rat, and monkey PTP1B and is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows. The antibody is raised in rabbit and prepared as a polyclonal pool, binding multiple epitopes on the target phosphatase for reliable detection in cell lysates and formalin-fixed tissue sections.
