Anti-PTMA Antibody [8H12]

This Mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com, clone [8H12], recognises the Prothymosin alpha (PTMA) protein. It is raised against a short peptide derived from PTMA conjugated with KLH and is reactive with human samples. The reagent specifically binds the PTMA peptide sequence EEAENGRDAPANGAN as well as GST-tagged recombinant PTMA protein, and has been validated for use in Western blot and ELISA applications.

Supplied as a lyophilised preparation from a 0.01M phosphate buffered saline solution at pH 7.0, the antibody is unconjugated and of IgG2a isotype. Purity is achieved by Protein G affinity chromatography, and the concentration is reconstitution dependent. For storage, the product is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C upon delivery, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The epitope has been mapped to Sp2/0-Ag14, and the product is rehydrated with double distilled water prior to use.
