Anti-PTMA Antibody [5A10]

Mouse monoclonal (5A10) antibody to Prothymosin alpha (PTMA), supplied by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody for research use. The antibody is of the IgG2a isotype, unconjugated, and presented in lyophilised form from a 0.01M phosphate buffered saline solution at pH 7.0. It is validated for Western blot (WB) and ELISA applications and has been shown to react with human samples.

The immunogen is a short peptide derived from PTMA and conjugated with KLH. According to the manufacturer's specificity data, the antibody recognises the PTMA peptide (EEAENGRDAPANGAN) as well as GST-tagged recombinant PTMA protein. Purification is carried out by Protein G affinity chromatography, and the antibody is derived from the Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma line. It should be reconstituted with double distilled water. Storage guidance from the manufacturer is to ship at 4°C, then upon delivery aliquot and store at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
