Anti-PTMA Antibody [4C3]

A mouse monoclonal antibody to Prothymosin alpha (PTMA), offered by Antibodies.com as clone 4C3 in an unconjugated format. The reagent is produced in mouse and is of the IgG2a isotype. It has been validated for Western blot (WB) and ELISA applications and reacts with human samples. The antibody is supplied in lyophilised form, and working concentration is reconstitution dependent.

The immunogen is a short peptide derived from PTMA, conjugated with KLH for immunization. Specificity has been confirmed against the PTMA peptide sequence EEAENGRDAPANGAN and against GST-tagged recombinant PTMA protein. The product is purified by Protein G affinity chromatography and formulated lyophilised from a solution of 0.01M Phosphate Buffered Saline, pH 7.0. Reconstitution is performed with double distilled water, and the epitope is reported as Sp2/0-Ag14.

Storage guidance from the manufacturer indicates shipment at 4°C, with aliquoting and storage at -20°C upon delivery; repeated freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.
