Anti-PTK2 (phospho Y925) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets PTK2 (also called Focal Adhesion Kinase, FAK) only when the kinase is phosphorylated at tyrosine 925, a modification that creates a docking site for the Grb2 SH2 domain and couples integrin-mediated adhesion to the Ras-MAPK cascade. Supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated rabbit IgG, the antibody is validated for Western blot detection of the human protein and is raised against a synthetic phosphopeptide centred on the Y925 epitope; non-phosphopeptide reactivity is removed by affinity chromatography during purification. A working dilution of 1:500 to 1:1000 is typical for WB, where a band appears at the expected molecular weight of approximately 119-125 kDa. The unconjugated format pairs cleanly with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescent detection.
