Anti-PTK2 Antibody

Raised in Rabbit as a polyclonal IgG, this unconjugated reagent from Antibodies.com binds PTK2 (Focal Adhesion Kinase, also known as FAK and FAK1), a ~125 kDa non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase encoded at human chromosome 8q24.3. The antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation workflows, and shows reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species comparative studies in cancer biology, mechanotransduction, and tumor microenvironment analysis.

Supplied as a 50 µl vial, the reagent enables detection of FAK-dependent signaling events, including the major autophosphorylation site at tyrosine 397 that recruits SRC-family kinases via their SH2 domains, as well as downstream phosphorylation of paxillin and CAS (Crk-associated substrate).
