PSMF1 (Proteasome Inhibitor Subunit 1, also known as PI31) is a regulator of 20S proteasome activity that influences peptide hydrolysis, antigen processing, and proteasome assembly. This rabbit polyclonal primary antibody is raised against human PSMF1 and is reactive across human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species studies in proteostasis and related signaling pathways.

Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications, the unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial from Antibodies.com. The glycerol-containing buffer allows storage at -20°C with minimal freeze-thaw damage; aliquot on first use to preserve activity for downstream immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, and ELISA workflows.

Use the reagent to detect endogenous PSMF1 levels in cell lysates and tissue sections, including investigations of proteasome inhibitor biology, cancer cell line profiling, and neurodegenerative disease models where proteasome dysregulation is implicated. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes on PSMF1, an advantage for detecting the protein under varied denaturation conditions in SDS-PAGE Western blots.
