PSME3 (Proteasome Activator Subunit 3), also known as REG-gamma or PA28-gamma, is a nuclear activator of the 20S proteasome that contributes to protein degradation, cell cycle control, apoptosis, and immune regulation. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the human PSME3 target and cross-reacts with rat, enabling comparative studies between species.

Validated for western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF), the reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial. The glycerol-based buffer keeps the antibody stable at -20°C and protects against freeze-thaw damage, while sodium azide prevents microbial contamination during repeated handling.

PSME3 has been investigated in cancers such as thyroid, breast, and hepatocellular carcinoma, where it drives tumor progression by promoting ubiquitin-independent degradation of regulatory proteins including p53. Researchers apply this reagent to map PSME3 subcellular localization, quantify expression changes under stress or drug treatment, and characterize its role within the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. Polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes supports a strong western blot signal near the expected ~30 kDa band.
