This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets PSME1, the proteasome activator subunit 1 also known as PA28alpha or REGalpha. The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in a PBS buffer with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, packaged in a 100 µl vial that supports multiple immunoblots, tissue staining runs, and imaging sessions. The polyclonal preparation cross-reacts with the human, mouse, and rat orthologues and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows, giving researchers flexibility across protein expression studies, tissue localization, and subcellular imaging experiments.

PSME1 partners with PSME2 to build the 11S regulator (PA28) complex, which opens the 20S core particle and is induced by interferon gamma to support immunoproteasome assembly and MHC class I antigen presentation. Scientists studying antigen processing, ubiquitin-dependent protein turnover, and immune regulation will find this reagent useful for probing endogenous regulator levels in cell lines, primary tissues, and disease models relevant to cancer biology, autoimmunity, and viral infection research. For short-term use, keep the vial refrigerated and protect from light; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity.
