Anti-PSMD4 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets PSMD4, a non-ATPase subunit of the 19S regulatory cap of the 26S proteasome, also referenced in the literature as S5a. The protein carries ubiquitin-interacting motifs that engage polyubiquitinated substrates for proteasomal degradation, and it has been investigated in MHC class I antigen presentation, NF-κB signaling, and several solid-tumor contexts.

Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated antibody is supplied as 100 µl of antiserum. It has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows and cross-reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, allowing consistent detection across standard laboratory models and archived human tissue.

For Western blot applications, the antibody helps confirm proteasome assembly and monitor shifts in PSMD4 levels under proteotoxic or proteasome-inhibitor stress, while in IHC it localizes the protein to nuclear and cytoplasmic compartments where active 26S complexes concentrate. Optimal working dilution should be determined empirically for each sample type and detection chemistry.
