Raised in rabbit against the 26S proteasome non-ATPase regulatory subunit 4, this unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets PSMD4, also known as S5a or Rpn10. The reagent supports western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

PSMD4 serves as one of the ubiquitin receptors of the 19S regulatory cap, recognizing Lys48- and Lys63-linked polyubiquitin chains and shuttling them into the 20S catalytic core for proteolysis. It is therefore a useful marker for studies of proteasomal degradation, NF-κB signaling through the COP9 signalosome, ribophagy, and the cellular response to proteotoxic or genotoxic stress.

Each vial contains 100 µL of liquid antibody at approximately 1 mg/mL, buffered in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant. Short-term storage at 4 °C is suitable for working aliquots; for longer-term storage the reagent should be frozen at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Typical use cases include western blot analysis of tumor, neural, and muscle lysates, IHC staining of fixed tissue sections, and characterization of CRISPR-edited or RNAi knockdown lines probing cross-talk among ubiquitination, autophagy, and antigen processing pathways.
