Raised in rabbit against the PSMD2 subunit of the 26S proteasome, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µL vial at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. PSMD2 (also called Rpn1) is a non-ATPase regulatory subunit of the 19S cap, where it functions as a ubiquitin receptor that channels polyubiquitinated proteins into the proteolytic core, making antibodies against it useful tools for studies of protein turnover and UPS-dependent signaling.

The antibody has been validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence across human, mouse, and rat samples, allowing researchers to track endogenous PSMD2 expression and proteasome distribution in cultured cells and tissue sections. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes on PSMD2, which can help when probing denatured lysates or when stronger signal is needed in fixed tissue.

For storage, the 50% glycerol formulation keeps the vial stable at -20 °C without freeze-thaw damage, and aliquoting on first use is recommended to preserve activity over multiple experiments. For research use only.
