This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets PSMC3, the 26S proteasome ATPase subunit 3 (also known as TBP-1), a member of the AAA+ ATPase family that drives ATP-dependent unfolding of ubiquitinated substrates prior to proteolysis. Manufactured by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated IgG preparation, the reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, packaged as 100 µl aliquots ready for direct use in immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows.

The antibody was raised in rabbit and validated for detection of PSMC3 in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting translational studies that span rodent disease models and human tissue specimens. The 26S proteasome is a central node in cellular proteostasis, and PSMC3 in particular contributes to recognition and engagement of polyubiquitinated proteins; the antibody is therefore suited to investigations of protein turnover, ER-associated degradation, and the regulatory consequences of proteasome inhibition in cancer and neurodegeneration research.

For western blot, clear band detection is generally observed in the expected molecular weight range near 49 kDa. Sodium azide should be considered when planning applications involving live cells or HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, and the 50% glycerol formulation permits convenient storage at -20 °C without freeze-thaw cycling during routine use.
