Anti-PSMA Antibody [4H11]

From Antibodies.com, this primary antibody is a mouse monoclonal reagent specific for Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), identified by clone ID 4H11 of the IgG2b isotype. It is supplied unconjugated and in lyophilised form.

The reagent is validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and ELISA applications, and reacts with human samples. According to the manufacturer, it showed little or no cross-reactivity to normal prostatic tissue. It was raised against a crude membrane protein extraction from PSMA-expressing LNCap cells combined with the PSMA-derived peptide ESKVDPSKA coupled to KLH.

Purification is performed by Protein G affinity chromatography, and the product is formulated as a lyophilised solution in 0.01M Phosphate Buffered Saline at pH 7.0. It is shipped at 4°C and upon arrival should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Reconstitution is performed with double distilled water, and the working concentration is reconstitution-dependent.
