Anti-PSG1 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets PSG1 (Pregnancy Specific Beta-1-Glycoprotein 1), a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily that is highly expressed by placental syncytiotrophoblasts and has been investigated as a serum marker in gestational and trophoblastic disease research, as well as in studies of several epithelial cancers.

Raised in rabbit, the antibody is supplied unconjugated at 100 µl per vial and is validated for western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) on human samples. Researchers use it to probe PSG1 expression in first-trimester placental tissue, choriocarcinoma-derived cell lines such as BeWo and JAR, and heterologous overexpression systems, where the mature glycoprotein migrates near 72 kDa on reducing SDS-PAGE.

For handling, aliquot the vial on receipt and store at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles; the reagent is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or clinical procedures.
