PSD-95 (Postsynaptic Density Protein 95), also known as DLG4 or SAP90, is a ~95 kDa scaffolding protein of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family that anchors ionotropic glutamate receptors and downstream signaling components at excitatory postsynaptic densities in the central nervous system. This recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as 50 µl in TBS buffer (pH 7.4) containing 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative, and is validated for Western blot, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry on human, mouse, and rat samples.

The unconjugated antibody is widely used to label and quantify excitatory synapses in primary neuronal cultures, fixed brain sections, and iPSC-derived neuron models, where it produces a punctate staining pattern that overlaps with NMDA and AMPA receptor clusters. PSD-95 immunoreactivity is a standard read-out in studies of synaptic plasticity, LTP/LTD mechanisms, neurodegenerative disease models, and activity-dependent remodeling of neural circuits.

For best results, store the vial at -20°C in single-use aliquots to minimize freeze-thaw cycles, protect from light, and centrifuge briefly before pipetting to recover the full glycerol-supplemented volume.
