Anti-PSD-93 Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com raised against PSD-93, validated for Western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF). The unconjugated reagent reacts with mouse and rat samples alongside human, and is formulated as 1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2.

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen — a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 647–692 of human PSD-93 — and the purity is greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. It detects endogenous levels of PSD-93 protein, which migrates at approximately 110 kDa.

PSD-93, also known as channel-associated protein of synapse-110 (chapsyn-110), is a membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family protein that assembles signal transduction complexes at sites of cell-cell contact, including synapses. It occurs only at postsynaptic sites in hippocampal neurons, clusters with PSD-95 to anchor NMDA receptors at the synapse, and also binds the glutamate receptor subunit delta 2, with which it is co-expressed and co-localised at parallel-fibre synapses. PSD-93 is enriched in Purkinje neuron cell bodies and dendrites.
