Anti-PRPF31 Antibody

PRPF31 (Pre-mRNA Processing Factor 31) is a core component of the U4/U6.U5 tri-snRNP complex, essential for spliceosome assembly and the catalytic activation of pre-mRNA splicing. Supplied by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody is formulated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, and is packaged as a 100 µl vial suitable for several immunoblot and staining runs.

The reagent is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry, and shows reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, making it a practical tool for studies of retinal and neural splicing-factor biology. Germline mutations in PRPF31 are a well-established cause of autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa (adRP, locus RP11), so this antibody is also useful for investigating disease-associated expression changes in photoreceptor and retinal pigment epithelial models.
