Anti-Protein S Antibody

The Antibodies.com Anti-Protein S Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent validated for Western blot (WB) detection of human Protein S, a vitamin K-dependent plasma glycoprotein that acts as a cofactor for activated protein C in the anticoagulant cascade.

Supplied as a liquid IgG preparation at 100 µg per vial, this unconjugated antibody supports research into thrombophilia, venous thromboembolism, and the regulation of blood coagulation. Protein S circulates in two forms: free active cofactor and a complex with C4b-binding protein, making this reagent useful for studies of protein-protein interactions and gamma-carboxylation status.

For best results, aliquot the antibody upon arrival and store frozen at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Working dilutions should be prepared in blocking buffer immediately before use in immunoblotting protocols.
