Supplied through AFMS, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is a rabbit-derived IgG-class antibody raised against Protein C and validated for ELISA and Western blot workflows. The target specificity is endogenous human Protein C, with the immunogen being a synthetic peptide derived from an internal region of the human sequence, making this reagent well-suited to studies of coagulation and antithrombotic pathways. The antibody is presented as an unconjugated liquid formulation in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, supplied at 1 mg/mL in a 50 µL trial size that is sufficient for multiple blots or microtitre assays. Purification is by affinity-chromatography on an epitope-specific immunogen column following affinity isolation from rabbit antiserum, supporting low-background performance in WB. Reactivity is limited to human samples, so it is not intended for mouse, rat or other species without further validation. The clonality is polyclonal, the host is Rabbit, and the conjugate is Unconjugated, allowing secondary labelling to be selected according to the detection chemistry of the experiment. For routine storage the liquid antibody should be kept refrigerated short-term and aliquoted for freezing at –20 °C to preserve activity through repeated thaw cycles, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw of the glycerol-containing stock. Volume, concentration, host, clonality, conjugate, applications and reactivity stated above are taken directly from the supplier product page and current at the time of this catalogue entry.
