Polyclonal rabbit antibody targeting the human 20S proteasome alpha-7 subunit (PSMA7), distributed by Antibodies.com as a 100 µg vial in unconjugated form. The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, where it detects the endogenous protein at its expected band size of approximately 28 kDa.

PSMA7 is one of seven alpha subunits that make up the outer ring of the constitutive 20S proteasome, the catalytic core of the ubiquitin-dependent protein degradation pathway. Because the alpha ring controls substrate access into the proteolytic chamber, antibodies against this subunit are commonly used to study proteasome assembly, cellular stress responses, and the regulatory role PSMA7 plays in NF-κB signaling through its interaction with IκBα.

For handling, the antibody should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at -20 °C, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Common sample types include cultured human cell lysates for immunoblotting and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections for chromogenic IHC staining.
