The CHYH1 mouse monoclonal antibody of the IgG1 isotype is raised against human Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), a kallikrein-family serine protease secreted by prostatic epithelial cells and routinely measured in clinical chemistry as a biomarker for prostate cancer screening, staging, and post-treatment monitoring. Distributed by Antibodies.com as a research-grade primary reagent, this unconjugated clone is supplied as a 100 µg lyophilised preparation that reconstitutes readily in PBS or other standard antibody buffers. The lyophilised format keeps the antibody stable during shipment and long-term storage, while remaining straightforward to label downstream with biotin, horseradish peroxidase, or a fluorophore when a conjugated reporter is required. The reagent is validated for Western blot detection of PSA, where it produces a sharp, discrete band on reducing SDS-PAGE corresponding to the ~33 kDa mature glycoprotein and cleanly resolves the target from related kallikrein-family members that share sequence homology. It is additionally validated for ELISA-based quantification of PSA, supporting its use as either capture or detection antibody in immunoassay development for the user's own plate format and sample matrix. Monoclonal clonality provides batch-to-batch reproducibility that polyclonal anti-PSA sera cannot guarantee, and the mouse IgG1 framework allows straightforward secondary antibody selection using many labelled anti-mouse reagents that are commercially available. Specific reactivity is restricted to the human target, consistent with its intended use in studies of human prostate tissue, seminal fluid, conditioned cell culture supernatant, and recombinant expression systems. Storage as a lyophilised cake at refrigerated temperature preserves long-term activity, and aliquoting after reconstitution is recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles across multi-week experimental timelines.
