Anti-Progesterone Receptor Antibody [A21-W]

This unconjugated rabbit monoclonal antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com, targets the human progesterone receptor (clone ID A21-W) and is offered as a primary reagent for research use only; it is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications. The IgG antibody is raised in rabbit and reacts with human samples, with validated applications in immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded (IHC-P) and frozen (IHC-Fr) tissue sections.

It was generated against a peptide derived from the region close to the N-terminus of the human progesterone receptor and recognises the epitope between Val184 and Ala199. The antibody is supplied as a liquid in Tris Buffered Saline, pH 8.0, containing 20 mg/ml BSA and 0.05% Sodium Azide, and should be stored at 4°C. For IHC, a recommended dilution range of 1:100–1:200 is suggested.

Representative validation images show diffuse nuclear progesterone receptor expression in a meningothelial meningioma and progesterone receptor expression in a carcinoma of the breast, both demonstrated on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human tissue sections cut at 4 µm.
