From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets an epitope surrounding residue 190 of the human Progesterone Receptor (PR, also known as NR3C3 or PGR), making it a useful reagent for researchers studying nuclear receptor signaling in steroid-responsive tissues. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, with the unconjugated format giving full flexibility for downstream detection chemistries. It is validated for Western blotting (recommended dilution 1:500–1:1000) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (1:100–1:200), and it recognizes endogenous levels of total PR protein with a predicted band at approximately 99 kDa across human, mouse, and rat samples. The reagent was generated by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide–KLH conjugate corresponding to the G-L-S-P-A region (aa188–192) and purified by epitope-specific affinity chromatography. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Intended for research use only, it is not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
