Anti-PROC Antibody

Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent directed against Protein C (PROC), this unconjugated primary antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 50 µl vial formulated for Western Blot work. Protein C is a vitamin K-dependent plasma serine protease that down-regulates blood coagulation by inactivating factors Va and VIIIa, and a clean anti-PROC reagent supports studies of thrombosis, hemostasis, and vascular biology. The antibody has been validated to detect the human PROC protein, and cross-reactivity has also been observed with the mouse and rat orthologues, which makes it useful for comparative work across standard laboratory models.

Each vial is provided at approximately 1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) at pH 7.3, with 0.05% sodium azide added as a preservative; the concentrate should be handled refrigerated, protected from light, and aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles. The unconjugated format leaves the secondary reporter open to the user's choice, so the same reagent can be paired with HRP, fluorescent, or biotinylated detection chemistries as required by a given blotting protocol.
