Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody Against PROC for Western Blot

PROC encodes Protein C, a vitamin K-dependent plasma zymogen that is converted on the endothelial surface into activated Protein C (APC), a serine protease that inactivates factors Va and VIIIa and helps sustain anticoagulant balance. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the PROC target and supplied as a 100 µl liquid preparation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, adjusted to approximately pH 7.3.

The reagent has been validated for Western blot detection of endogenous Protein C in human, mouse, and rat sample lysates, supporting laboratory research on the coagulation cascade, venous thromboembolism, Protein C deficiency, sepsis-associated coagulopathy, and vitamin K metabolism. Because the antibody is polyclonal, it binds several epitopes on the target protein, which can improve signal consistency when probing denatured Protein C in western blot workflows.

For short-term storage, refrigerate at 4°C; for longer-term storage, aliquot the antibody and freeze at -20°C, minimising repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The unconjugated format leaves the antibody free for downstream labelling and allows flexible dilution during western blot optimisation in single-use applications.
