Anti-PROC Antibody

Raised in rabbit against Protein C (PROC), this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets a vitamin K-dependent plasma glycoprotein that functions as a key physiological anticoagulant. PROC is synthesized in the liver as a zymogen and activated by the thrombomodulin-thrombin complex on endothelial surfaces, where it inactivates factors Va and VIIIa to restrain clot propagation, and variants in the gene are linked to familial thrombophilia and venous thrombosis.
