Anti-PRNP Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody recognises the prion protein (PRNP). It is of the IgG isotype, unconjugated, and validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and ELISA. The reagent shows reactivity with human, mouse and rat samples.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 23–230 of human Prion protein PrP. The antibody is supplied as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide, and has been purified by affinity chromatography. Concentration is lot specific.

Predicted molecular weight is 28 kDa. Recommended starting dilutions are 1:500–1:1,000 for WB and 1 µg/ml for ELISA. The product is shipped at 4 °C; upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.
