Anti-PRMT5 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against PRMT5 (protein arginine methyltransferase 5), this unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody enables detection of the endogenous human enzyme by western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, and chromatin immunoprecipitation. PRMT5 catalyzes symmetric dimethylation of arginine residues on histone and non-histone substrates, influencing pre-mRNA splicing, ribosome assembly, and transcriptional repression, and the methyltransferase is overexpressed in lymphoma, lung, and colorectal cancers where it supports tumor cell proliferation and survival.
