Anti-PRMT1 Antibody

Offered by Antibodies.com as a research-grade primary antibody, this mouse monoclonal reagent targets protein arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) and is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot of affinity-purified antibody in a buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. The antibody was purified from mouse ascites by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen (recombinant full-length human PRMT1), and the purity is greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. It is a monoclonal IgG raised in mouse, presented unconjugated, and is validated for Western blot (WB) detection of endogenous PRMT1, with both predicted and observed band sizes of approximately 42 kDa. Reactivity has been confirmed against human samples, and the reagent does not cross-react with related PRMT family members, making it well suited for chromatin, transcription, and signal-transduction studies that probe PRMT1-dependent asymmetric dimethylation of histone H4 Arg-3 and substrates such as ESR1, PIAS1, HNRNPs, and STAT1. For storage, the glycerol-containing buffer is intended to be kept at –20 °C in small working aliquots to minimize freeze–thaw cycles and preserve antibody activity, while the 0.2% sodium azide serves as a microbial preservative.
