This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against PRKD1 phosphorylated at serine 738, an activation-loop autophosphorylation site in the protein kinase D family. Supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated antisera, it is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence detection in human, mouse, and rat samples.

PRKD1 (also called PKD1 or PKCμ) is a serine/threonine kinase that operates downstream of PKC, G-protein, and Golgi signaling inputs, where S738 phosphorylation is a recognized marker of catalytic activation. Researchers apply this antibody to monitor kinase activation triggered by phorbol esters, GPCR agonists, oxidative stress, or growth factor stimulation, and to probe PKD-dependent control of NF-κB, HDAC, and ERK pathways. Common experimental contexts include cardiac hypertrophy, immune cell signaling, Golgi-dependent membrane trafficking, and tumor cell proliferation studies, where transient phosphorylation events need to be distinguished from total PRKD1 levels.

Because the antibody is unconjugated, it pairs with the researcher's choice of secondary antibody for HRP, alkaline phosphatase, or fluorescent detection, and it can be used in standard PVDF or nitrocellulose chemiluminescent Western blot protocols and in single- or multiplexed immunofluorescence staining.
