Targeting the 58 kDa catalytic subunit of human DNA primase, this Rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes PRIM2, the protein responsible for synthesizing short RNA primers that initiate Okazaki fragment formation on the lagging strand during DNA replication. Provided by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated IgG reagent at a 200 µl volume, the antibody is validated for western blot detection of PRIM2 in lysates prepared from human cells. The polyclonal format offers multi-epitope recognition of the catalytic primase subunit, supporting consistent band visualization at the expected molecular weight in research workflows including DNA replication studies, chromatin fraction analysis, and examination of primase complex assembly with the PRIM1 partner subunit.
