Anti-PRG2 Antibody

Produced in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, this 100 µl antibody from Antibodies.com targets human PRG2, the granule proteoglycan of eosinophils also known as major basic protein (MBP). PRG2 accumulates in the crystalloid cores of eosinophil-specific secondary granules and is released during degranulation, where it contributes to innate defense against parasitic helminths and to epithelial injury in allergic airways disease. The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, supporting its use as a marker of eosinophil presence and activation in studies of asthma, eosinophilic esophagitis, hypereosinophilic syndromes, and related inflammatory disorders.
