Anti-PREPL Antibody

PREPL encodes a serine peptidase of the prolyl oligopeptidase subfamily, with two main isoforms (a 683-residue short form and a 727-residue long form carrying an N-terminal mitochondrial targeting sequence) that migrate near the predicted 84 kDa band in cell lysates. Loss of PREPL is causally linked to the hypotonia-cystinuria syndrome (2p21 microdeletion) and to congenital myasthenic syndrome type 22 (CMS22), where it disrupts clathrin-mediated vesicle formation at the trans-Golgi network and AP-1 membrane recycling. The unconjugated format allows pairing with any rabbit-compatible secondary antibody in colorimetric, fluorescent, or chemiluminescent detection systems. Store at -20°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles; titrate the working dilution empirically for each lysate or fixed tissue section.
