PRDX6 is a bifunctional antioxidant enzyme unique among mammalian peroxiredoxins, combining 1-Cys peroxidase activity with calcium-independent phospholipase A2 activity. The antibody detects the endogenous protein on Western blots at its predicted ~25 kDa molecular weight and produces cytoplasmic staining in immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence, consistent with the known subcellular distribution of the enzyme.

Validated for human, mouse, and rat samples, the reagent supports comparative studies across rodent models and human tissues.
