The PRDM5 (PR Domain Containing 5) protein is a zinc-finger transcriptional regulator with established roles in extracellular matrix gene expression, cell-cycle control, and tumor suppression, and PRDM5 loss-of-function variants are a known cause of brittle cornea syndrome. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against PRDM5 and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples. It is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl vial, ready to dilute into standard blotting and staining buffers. Because it is polyclonal, the reagent recognizes multiple epitopes on the human PRDM5 target, which can improve signal robustness in lysate-based Western blot assays and in formalin-fixed tissue sections used for IHC. The unconjugated format lets users pair the antibody with their preferred HRP, biotin, or fluorophore secondary reagents, supporting flexible assay design. Groups investigating corneal connective tissue disease, cancer pathway dysregulation, or transcription factor networks in epithelial and mesenchymal lineages will find this reagent applicable to validation, comparative expression, and subcellular localization studies.
