This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets PRDM2 (PR domain zinc finger protein 2), also known as RIZ1, a transcriptional regulator and tumor suppressor mapped to chromosome 1p36. Raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated as 100 µl of liquid, the reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human samples. PRDM2 carries a PR domain related to histone methyltransferases together with a series of C2H2 zinc finger motifs that mediate DNA binding, and the protein is widely studied in cancer biology because loss of RIZ1 expression has been documented across multiple solid tumors and hematological malignancies. Researchers use this reagent to investigate chromatin regulation, cell-cycle progression, apoptosis pathways, and tumor suppressor mechanisms. For western blotting it can detect endogenous PRDM2 in cell lysates and tissue homogenates, while in IHC it supports localization studies in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections, fitting both research and translational pathology workflows. Store frozen at -20 °C and divide into working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; thaw the stock vial on ice before use and keep on ice during preparation. Intended for research use only.
