Anti-PPP2CB Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the catalytic beta subunit of protein phosphatase 2A, this polyclonal reagent detects the PPP2CB protein, a ~36 kDa serine/threonine phosphatase catalytic subunit that pairs with structural and regulatory subunits to form functional PP2A holoenzymes. Although approximately 97% identical in amino acid sequence to the more widely expressed PPP2CA isoform, PPP2CB shows distinct tissue distribution and contributes to regulation of cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and kinase-driven signaling pathways, contexts in which altered PP2A activity is studied in cancer biology and neurodegenerative disease research.
