PPP1R3A, the muscle- and liver-enriched glycogen-targeting regulatory subunit of protein phosphatase 1, can be probed in human and mouse samples using this rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com, supplied unconjugated at 100 µL. Raised against the PPP1R3A target and validated for Western Blot (WB), the antibody supports work on glycogen metabolism, insulin signalling, and the type 2 diabetes susceptibility variants that have been mapped to the PPP1R3A locus. The polyclonal format recognises multiple epitopes on the regulatory subunit, which is particularly useful when comparing endogenous expression across skeletal muscle, cardiac tissue, and hepatic lysates.

Working in standard RIPA or detergent-based lysates separated by SDS-PAGE, laboratories can transfer proteins to nitrocellulose or PVDF and detect the target with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated anti-rabbit secondary antibodies. The unconjugated format leaves the choice of detection chemistry to the researcher, making this reagent compatible with chemiluminescent and fluorescent readout systems. For long-term stability, keep the vial refrigerated and protected from light; small working aliquots are recommended to minimise repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the antibody solution.
